A simple way to manage WordPress roles and capabilities. With this plugin you will be able to easily create and manage roles and capabilities.
Description
The Capability Manager plugin provides a simple way to manage role capabilities. Using it, you will be able to change the capabilities of any role, add new roles, copy existing roles into new ones, and add new capabilities to existing roles. You can also delegate capabilities management to other users. In this case, some restrictions apply to this users, as them can only set/unset the capabilities they have. With the Backup/Restore tool, you can save your Roles and Capabilities before making changes and revert them if something goes wrong. You'll find it on the Tools menu.
- Capability manager has been tested to support only one role per user.
- Only users with 'manage_capabilities' can manage them. This capability is created at install time and assigned only to administrators.
- Administrator role cannot be deleted.
- Non-administrators can only manage roles or users with same or lower capabilities.

Beautiful plugin my friend. I went through 4-5 different plugins before finding yours. You’ve successfully built an easy to use plugin, for what could be a very complex task.
You’ve got “Role Scoper” beat by miles. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable, but no matter what I tried that plugin never worked as I wanted. Yours worked right outta the bag. Thanks again.
I’ve got two suggestions. The first is the ability to hide “Tools” on the sidebar. The second, is the ability to hide the “help” drop down in the upper right.
Again, great job on the plugin. There’s absolutely no excuse for admins to over extend user permissions with your plugin in place. A retarded monkey could Easily administer user accounts with this plugin. Kudos.

This is plugin is really great, very simple and easy to use; I guess the screenshots would make that more obvious to people interested.

Hola Jordi, permetme que t’escriga en valencià al vore que ets català.
Resulta que al meu blog vuic crear varios usuaris que sols puguen escriure entrades en la seua corresponent categoria. Vuic dir, l’usuari X que escriga en Categoria X, l’usuari Y en categoria Y, etc etc. Aço es pot fer amb aquest plugin? si es aixi, com? i sino es aixo, saps d’algun que ho faça?
Aquests usuaris no vuic que tinc mes opcions que editar o borrar a la seua propia categoria.

Sento dir-te que no, que aquesta extensió no serveix per això que tu vols. La finalitat d’aquesta extensió és només afegir o eliminar capacitats ja existents als rols de WordPress.
Dissortadament no en conec cap que faci el que hem comentes i, segons el meu coneixement, aquesta funció depèn del nucli de WordPress.
Sento no poder ajudar-te.
